BADMINTON England is the sport's governing body in England.

Based at the National Badminton Centre in Milton Keynes, it provides a structure for the sport from Board and Council, senior management, specialist staff at headquarters, county associations and clubs right the way through to individual members and volunteers.

The organisation is responsible for the management and training of the elite England squad, and works alongside the other home nation governing bodies to prepare British players for the Olympics.

BADMINTON England also co-ordinates a development network that provides a pathway for aspiring players to progress from schools and clubs to the national squad.

In addition, the governing body offers information about the game, runs coaching courses, tournaments from county to international standard, sells books and videos, and promotes the sport at all levels.

Higman Sports is a family run business and we have been in the racket trade for over 20 years with over 30 years of stringing expertise behind us. It all started with Peter Higman falling in love with the game of badminton!! He is now a full-time Senior National Badminton coach still inspiring all that meet him to fulfill their potential.

Since then rackets specialist knowledge has been used in the selection of all top range badminton, tennis and squash rackets, ensuring the best possible range is available to our customers. We are based in the David Lloyd Centres at Teesside (by the Tees Barrage); so if you are in the area, pop in and see us!

With expert stringing knowledge gained from over 30 years of stringing and dealing direct with rackets, Peter Higman has passed his knowledge and expertise to our staff in order for them to be able to offer the best possible service and experience to our customers.

There are hundreds of different strings available which we can offer. In the meantime we have a selection of our most popular strings in house at all times.

Rackets can be custom strung at point of sale or at a later date to suit personal requirements.
